Enoshima Lantern Festival: "Dreaming in the Moonlight" (Starts August 1st)
Enoshima's summer events will be held until Silver Week this year.
This year marks the 19th time the event has been held.
The "Enoshima Lantern Festival" will be held for approximately one and a half months, from August 1st (Saturday) to September 23rd (Wednesday/National Holiday).
At the Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden, a giant lantern approximately 5 meters tall, called "Light in the Sky," will appear as a prayer lantern to light up the sky above Enoshima, under the theme of "Lights that Light Up the Sky." A limited-time video projection will also be shown on the Enoshima Escalator.
Additionally, during the event period, visitors to Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden wearing a yukata or jinbei after 5:00 PM will receive an original tenugui (hand towel) as a gift (while supplies last).
Enoshima Lanterns and the anime series "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" collaborate
Furthermore, to commemorate the theatrical release of the anime film "Rascal Does Not Dream of Dear Friends" on October 16th (Friday) this year, in addition to the installation of collaborative lanterns, life-size panels will appear in the observation deck of the Enoshima Sea Candle. Original goods will be given to visitors wearing yukata or jinbei after 5 PM during the event period (while supplies last).

The light show, centered around the legend of Enoshima's founding, "Enoshima Engi (The Legend of the Celestial Maiden and the Five-Headed Dragon)," takes place at Enoshima Shrine, from the Zuishinmon Gate and stone steps to Hetsumiya and the Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden.
This year's light-cutting art will feature a new "sea of light" that shines with the light of the sky, and "lanterns," which are also the namesake of the event. At the Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden, a giant lantern called "Light of the Sky" will sparkle in the summer breeze and emit light into the night sky.

A professional team that has worked on numerous spatial creations under the theme of "designing the atmosphere." Under the direction of chief designer Yosuke Kato, their designs evoke a sense of narrative, and they continue to challenge themselves in a wide range of fields, including architecture, product design, and graphic design, in addition to their well-established large-scale winter decorations and installations.
Shadow Puppet Night
We will be hosting a shadow puppet performance titled "The Celestial Maiden and the Five-Headed Dragon" by the shadow puppet unit Ambivalen , along with a live performance by Yu Soda . Enjoy a fantastical summer night woven together by music and shadow puppetry.
