Shonan Candle 2026: 25 days illuminated by 10,000 candles
We will be holding "Shonan Candle 2026," an autumn tradition where the gentle light envelops Enoshima at night.
At the Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden, approximately 10,000 candles create a magical scene. Each candle is lit daily by volunteers and staff, and its warm glow illuminates the nights of Enoshima.
The open location surrounded by the sea, combined with the beautiful scenery created by the observation lighthouse, Enoshima Sea Candle, offers a special charm that can only be found at this time of year.
Please come and visit us for outings and dates with your loved ones, photo shoots, and creating lasting autumn memories.

Upcycling Handmade Candle Workshop
You can experience making upcycled candles using wax recycled from candles used in past Shonan Candle events. This initiative, themed around "upcycling"—giving new value to the wax produced through the Shonan Candle events—started in 2023 and is now in its fourth year.
Instead of letting the candlelight fade away after just one use, we can transform it into a new work of art, allowing participants to learn about environmental considerations and sustainable manufacturing in a fun way. We offer an opportunity to think about the nature and environment of Shonan while enjoying sustainable craftsmanship.
